Bering the ups and downs of balancing fun to the playground with the Compact PlayPod Traverse. Made up of three staggered pedestals in a line, they can be crossed in a number of ways. Each pedestal is connected by a bit of chain at the bottom allowing it to wobble just a bit and kids hop from one pedestal to the next. Through the center of each step is a bar that allows kids to hold tightly while their feet shift under them. The biggest advantage of this design is that it's small. It can be fit into smaller playgrounds or it can be used to round out a design that has just a little bit of space left. The Compact PlayPod Traverse encourages socialization as kids work on their balance. Hopping across a bridge is fairly easy, but getting across something that moves as you walk on it is more difficult. The upright bars in the center help children to reach ahead and stabilize themselves as they go across. An activity like this is sure to inspire stories that kids will act out together as they play.
