Add something unique to your playground with the Moving Tunnels. The gently pivoting pieces of equipment make for a different experience. Kids can climb up, over, through, or just plain chill out in them. Designed for school aged children, it offers a less structured approach. Most playground have definite routes or clear goals in sections in it. Kids know that if they climb up here, they have options A, B, or C. When something like the Moving Tunnels are added it isn't clear. Where do you start? The middle? The end? What is the beginning? What is the end? And where are they going? Depending upon how they are installed, a more clear direction can be indicated in the overall playground flow, but it doesn't have to be that way.
When presenting children with less structure in their play environment you encourage growth and development. Children first are forced to think. It's not just a simple "You go down the slide." They have to assign their own task to how they are going to play. Secondly, it becomes a very social experience very quickly. Not every child will approach the equipment the same way, making discussion and trial and error all a part of the process.
