These playground borders are one of the highest quality in the industry. We have used them on hundreds of successful installations here at Playground Outfitters. Their design utilizes a heavy duty plastic that exudes great durability and will keep your new playground space maintenance free for years to come. It comes with a handy dandy Surfacing Guide (US Patent #D716,113) that serves as a great guide when you are adding your playground safety surfacing. It will give you an on-site indicator to let you know if you need to add or remove the current amount of material.
Offered in 8" or 12" height, both are 4' 4" in length and 4" wide. Please note that the 4'4" referred to here is the actual border itself. The borders, when they are correctly installed, overlap slightly, giving you a uniform 4' of length when finished.
We recommend 12 inches for wood mulch applications and 6-8 inches for rubber mulch surfacing.
Their 8 inch option is a good option for Early Childhood environments or when only a 6" depth of loose fill surfacing is required on your playground.
