Add even more fun to the playground with the Achiever. Appearing like a giant spider web at first glance, upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that it is just covered in spindly climbers. Before getting into any climbing, children can take a spin on the Helix Spinner. Once they've reached their limit, they can head under the wobbly Rain Forest Bridge to the Arach Net. This spider web of ropes will catch their attention better than a spider securing flies in its net. As they work their way around they'll find the PlayPod Pedestals waiting for them to hop step to step. Once they're done, they can take a turn on the circular Climb Around. The circle of overhead bars allows children to keep going without ever turning back. As they reach the first landing, a Bubble Panel might catch their attention before they head across the Rain Forest Bridge. Once across, they can climb up the Wacky Wood Climber to finally reach the Solo Chute Slide to lead them back down to the ground level. For a bit more fun, they can try out the Arc Climber to reach the slide even faster. For those that love climbing, they can find hours of fun on the Inclined Column and the Firefighter Climb in the center of the play area.
When choosing a playground it is important to consider where the components have come from. Conditioned wood or recycled metal posts are both opportunities to take part in environmental stewardship. Wood was once a staple of playground design, but as time has continued, it has become less common. But, wood and natural materials make for natural learning environments that can be important for children’s development. Several teaching methods use nature and natural tools as ways to reach children. On the other hand, the recycled metal used comes from items that would otherwise rust away in dumps. The recycled plastic comes from specifically milk jugs. As Americans, we tend to drink a large amount of milk every day. This results in millions of used milk contains every year. Even if the play set purchased only uses a few thousand of those milk jugs, its that many more that didn’t end up in a landfill. Your playground purchase can be part of the solution that limits waste.
