Find comfort during playtime in the Nest play structure. Designed for children from toddlers to preschoolers, the activities promote a healthy medium between challenge and simple activities. Starting at the ground level, children can sound the Whistle or bang out a happy tune on the Xylophone. When they're ready, they can head to the other side and and paint on the Paint 'n Play Panel. It's surface can easily be wiped clean to be used again and again. As they head to the main structure, they can take a turn on the Turn Bar or even try to cross the Overhead Ladder. Once on the Access Platform, they can head further in. For those kids that need a challenge but not too hard of one, they can try the Side-By-Side Climber or hoist themselves up the Chain Boost Climber. Once on the main decks, they can explore the Labyrinth Panel or spin the BigWheel. In between the main decks rests the Big Tube Tunnel for them to crawl back and forth in. As they prepare to return to ground level, they can race a friend down the DuoChute Slide.
When choosing a playground it is important to consider where the components have come from. Conditioned wood or recycled metal posts are both opportunities to take part in environmental stewardship. Wood was once a staple of playground design, but as time has continued, it has become less common. But, wood and natural materials make for natural learning environments that can be important for children's development. Several teaching methods use nature and natural tools as ways to reach children. On the other hand, the recycled metal used comes from items that would otherwise rust away in dumps. The recycled plastic comes from specifically milk jugs. As Americans, we tend to drink a large amount of milk every day. This results in millions of used milk contains every year. Even if the play set purchased only uses a few thousand of those milk jugs, its that many more that didn't end up in a landfill. Your playground purchase can be part of the solution that limits waste.
