Relax in the Courtyard play set with friends. This sprawling play structure offers a little bit of everything for growing children. On the ground level, there are two PlayShell Climbers set on opposite sides of the structure. Almost under the balcony there is a Cozy Seat for kids to take a break. Between one of the PlayShell Climbers and the Rock Climber is a PlayPod Pedestal to help kids reach the higher levels of the climber. A little bit further away is the BigWheel on one of the posts. Fianlly, a Whistle is mounted on one of the posts by the Overhead Ladder. To get to the upper levels, in addition to the PlayShell Climbers there are two Rock Climbers, a Boarding Net, and an Access Platform. Once children have reached the higher decks, a new set of activities await. Children can explore their musical side with the Xylophone or look to the ground below through the Wave Panels set at multiple points throughout the structure. At one end there is a Bubble Panel that arches out of the playground a bit. For those that enjoyed the BigWheel, there is another on the upper decks. A Big Tube Tunnel connects one deck to the next opening up next to the DuoChute Slide. A shorter BigTube Slide is placed at a lower deck for kids to have multiple sliding opportunities.
When choosing a playground it is important to consider where the components have come from. Conditioned wood or recycled metal posts are both opportunities to take part in environmental stewardship. Wood was once a staple of playground design, but as time has continued, it has become less common. But, wood and natural materials make for natural learning environments that can be important for children's development. Several teaching methods use nature and natural tools as ways to reach children. On the other hand, the recycled metal used comes from items that would otherwise rust away in dumps. The recycled plastic comes from specifically milk jugs. As Americans, we tend to drink a large amount of milk every day. This results in millions of used milk contains every year. Even if the play set purchased only uses a few thousand of those milk jugs, its that many more that didn't end up in a landfill. Your playground purchase can be part of the solution that limits waste.
