Exploration of nature can happen from all angles in the Learning Puddle. The clear plastic basin is designed to hold water, sand, and pretty much anything little kids can find in their natural play environment. The wide triangular counter around the top of the bowl allows for children to set toys down as they play or to set a variety of tools to help them in their study of nature. Another benefit of the spherical basin is that it allows them a variety of depths in the same bowl. While it can be deep in the center, the edges are a bit closer to them.
When cleaning up, there a couple of things that the Learning Puddle has going for it. The lack of corners makes it easier to clean. The plastic-y surface repels a majority of the materials that children would be want to put in it. Additionally, it comes it a fitted lids with open handles. No matter what is put into the bowl, it is given access to outside air and also can instantly be transformed into a flat surface for children to use for other activities. While one bowl is a fair size, adding more around it can create an entire investigative center that can be used in lessons.
