A boulder is a natural piece of playground equipment for children. As with most natural equipment, it allows kids to find their own way to play. A ladder clearly tells a child to climb up and then down. A slide has only one direction. When kids come upon equipment that lacks clear direction, it is a chance for them to use their cognitive reasoning skills. They have to figure out where they want to go on the equipment and how to get there. Children are drawn to more natural play situations such as climbing trees, creek walking, and even just jumping on boulders.
Each of these boulders is sure to last. Made from glass fiber reinforced concrete, the boulders retain the natural “rocky” appearance of, well, rocks.
