Bring a bit of fun to the playground with the Tower Carousel. This mostly vertical rope climber and spinner features a canister style basket with a Bird's Nest floor and a triangular top. The cascading ropes create the overall shapes with a central ring providing further robustness. The beauty of this design is that children can climb up, over, and into the basket. Once inside, other children can spin them around. The enclosed design gives riders a greater level of safety as they spin.
Spinners and merry-go-rounds encourage socialization. Like a teeter-totter, they require at least two children to make them work: a rider and a pusher. As the runner gives the spinner momentum, the rider yells out to speed up or slow down. And eventually, they'll switch and the other will get a turn.
Constructed out steel and polyester, this climber is sure to last. The center-most post is an 8-inch diameter steel post with a cap to keep the elements out. Attached to it and leading to the ground are 16mm Netform ropes with high-density polyethylene fasteners. The ropes themselves are made up of 6 strands of steel and an inner fiber that are then wrapped in a cocoon of polyester fibers. The outside of the cord is then coated in a latex bonding agent. Adding the latex strengthens the rope from abrasions.
